The idea of a paperless classroom is exciting. You might ask, why a paperless classroom? What is wrong with the traditional classroom setting that many of us are used to? It has worked for the past hundreds of years and produced great results. While there are all great questions, I would like to point out that by going paperless you can definitely enhance the traditional classroom teaching.
This blog is dedicated to make educators aware of various tools and pros of learning without using papers, which provides many different resources as well as ideas. As the world has become increasingly more technological, computer and other high tech equipments are becoming significant components in educational institutions. The use of these equipments create virtual paperless classroom. Assignments are completed and submitted digitally. The content remains the same as books, its just different method of delivery. Students use laptops to complete their assignments in the class and out of the class. The students are also super motivated to complete tasks and activities. They are now tech savvy 21st century learners, the green icons. The concept of paperless environment is growing in all areas of classroom teaching including lectures, homework, quiz and examination. It is becoming a huge trend setter and also growing paperless happens to be a much better and greener option. There are many benefits of a paperless classroom. I would like to share some of them with you all.
The chances of students being careless will not work and students will be more prompt. It is easier for some institutions to go paperless than others. A new set up has the perfect opportunity to start the institution paperless. But an existing one has to restructure the infrastructure, follow procedures to implement and security to worry about. Going paperless is not for all, but reducing the paper in your school can easily be accomplished with a few minor changes.
I think that in today’s digital age, a paperless classroom promotes a more efficient and organized classroom, while preparing students for the real world outside their classrooms.
