HEAL YOURSELF THROUGH YOGA
Be a better you, for you.
Our children live in a hurry-up world of busy parents, school pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls, and competitive sports. The bustling pace of our children's lives can have a profound effect on their innate joy—and usually not for the better. To counter these pressures, the students of Meenakshi Public School and Meenakshi World School, Sector 10- A, Gurugram practice Yoga in their weekly yoga classes. The school also organizes regular workshops which prove beneficial for both mind and body and leave the youngsters energized and ready for academic and co-curricular pursuits.
In a drive to bring calmness and spirituality in lives of our students, a special one hour session was conducted by Ms Nupur Tewari on 20 July 2018 in the school premises for our students. The resource person is an Indian residing in Japan since fourteen years and teaching culture, yoga and English to thousands of students and people as her work and passion.
Various yoga postures and asanas including pranayam and meditation were taught to the students. The students were also enlightened on the benefits of yoga, yogic exercises, recharging the body with cosmic energy and promoting the self-healing process. Students were made to understand how Yoga helps in attaining focus and concentration as it is especially important for them. Students were very excited to learn how to remain healthy and energetic and enjoyed the Yoga session a lot.
The Vice Chairman, Mr. Anil Hada told on the occasion that when children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfillment, they can navigate life's challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that's noncompetitive.
