AN INTERACTIVE TALK SHOW WITH DR KUSUM CHOPRA
“People mistakenly believe tuberculosis to be a disease of the past. But if we look closer, we will find that people suffering from TB are part of our personal, professional and social networks. It is a scenario in which very few are left untouched or unaffected in India,” said Rtn Kusum Chopra , while addressing students of Meenakshi Public School, Sector 10- A Gurugram on 5 December 2018 in the school premises. The Interactors of the school under the guidance of Ms Vinita Taneja , Incharge of Rotary Interact Club organized a Talk Show with Dr Kusum as part of creating awareness about tuberculosis. In a very energizing, interactive session she discussed interesting facts about the disease and how it is taking a toll on human lives specially Indians due to indifferent attitude and lack of awareness. During the session, the doctor posed a number of questions and the entire respondents knew that TB is a curable disease but they lack knowledge about diagnostic feature of TB and DOTS treatment therapy and its duration and availability in government hospitals.
Director –cum- Principal, Ms Vipula Saxena told that proper knowledge about tuberculosis will provoke a way to prevent the spread and management of TB through proper treatment in this developing world.
