World Kindness Day
Kindness is a fundamental component of the human condition,
which bridges the divides of race, religion, politics, gender and zip codes.
World Kindness Day is an internationally recognised day for the celebration of kindness in society and day-to-day life. Individual acts of kindness are encouraged on this day annually. With this in mind, Meenakshi Public School, Sector 10- A Gurugram celebrated World Kindness Day with the school community on 13 November 2018.The students of Middle Wing specially Class VI were enthusiastically involved in ‘Joy of Giving’. They distributed food packets containing biscuits, chips, cakes, Frootis etc to the underprivileged children of the neighbouring areas of the school like HSBT construction site, Kadipur Slum area and Shivji Temple, Sector 10 along with the School Counsellor, Ms Gurpreet. The students also wrote deeds of kindness for their friends and pasted on the bags of their classmates. The students of Class VII penned the letters magnifying the acts of kindness done by the ‘Unsung Heroes of the School’ while Class VIII students wrote their experiences related to small yet significant acts of kindness in the school. They presented their thoughts on display boards. The students of various classes also narrated their stories of acts of kindness during their scheduled English Language Lab periods.
Meenakshi Public School strives to work with the entire school community to create a caring and supportive environment, where students can become healthy, competent, confident individuals who will positively contribute to the local and global community at large.
