BRITISH COUNCIL CURRICULUM ACTIVITY -04 (PHASE -01)
GO GREEN TO BREATHE CLEAN
To maintain a healthy lifestyle, children should be educated in a positive way about the environment in order to create a sense of consciousness and participation, and to help them acquire knowledge of ecological principles aimed at ensuring a balance between the health of the individual, society, and the environment. Keeping this in mind, British Council’s Curriculum Activity -04 for class VIII started with great enthusiasm under the flagship of Ms Sonjuhi Khare , British Council’s International School Award Coordinator. The first phase of the activity comprised brainstorming session. The students gathered information about causes and prevention through magazines and internet. The Curriculum activity includes various neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh .The mentors, Ms Monika Kaushik, Ms Menakshi Sharma and Ms Ekta Arora briefed the students about various aspects of causes of pollution in the linked countries to the children.
They also told that the quality of the surrounding environment represents a partnership between the school and the local community to achieve common objectives, such as environmental and social development and the environmental consciousness of future citizens for a sustainable society.
